Pastor Tim Harvey
Pastor Tim joined the Central congregation in June of 2004. A 1999 graduate of Eastern Mennonite Seminary, Pastor Tim brings a great interest in personal discipleship and community connection to the leadership of the church.
Since 2006, Tim and the congregation have been heavily involved in Congregations in Action, an interfaith organization of 26 churches and 7 elementary schools in Roanoke. The "CIA" is a two-way partnership between congregations and schools. Our elementary school students find friendship, tutoring and weekend food; our church members build relationships with some who experience a different aspect of urban living.
Pastor Tim and his wife, Lynette, have three children: Emily, Zach, and Rose. As a family they enjoy reading, unicycling, outdoor activities, and life in their incredible Roanoke neighborhood. They are also huge fans of The Andy Griffith Show, which they try to watch everyday. Dinner time conversations are regularly seasoned with random quotes from Andy and Barney, thrown in for laughs.
